Nërē Mêvr Kēä (/nɜ̄ːæ/ /mîːvɜː/ [fluke] [water; liquid; rain]) is a subtropical Town located in the Bāwkyoīä Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Nërē Mêvr Kēä is derived from the Goblin language, as Nërē Mêvr Kēä was founded by Mog̈îd Gîj Tsèshî, who was culturaly Goblin.

Climate

Nërē Mêvr Kēä has a yearly average temperature of 22°C (71°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 14°C (57°F). Overview

Nërē Mêvr Kēä was founded durring the late 13th century in summer of the year 1186, by Mog̈îd Gîj Tsèshî. The establishment of Nërē Mêvr Kēä was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Mog̈îd Gîj Tsèshî struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Nërē Mêvr Kēä as a prison colony.

Nërē Mêvr Kēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Nërē Mêvr Kēä is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Nërē Mêvr Kēä is was constructed arround several spacious split-log ties mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's somewhat suffishent are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Right off the bat Nërē Mêvr Kēä hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as wealthy. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Nërē Mêvr Kēä has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Nërē Mêvr Kēä's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Nërē Mêvr Kēä possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Nërē Mêvr Kēä's grid is powered by an arcane means.

Nërē Mêvr Kēä has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Nërē Mêvr Kēä has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Nërē Mêvr Kēä's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century was struck by a great wind storm. A great funnel cloud itself touched down in Nërē Mêvr Kēä, bringing twisting winds which killed 180 people, 304 livestock, and 81 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is generally remembered as the Howling Winds of Dread.
